| Introduction | My love for photography began in the 10th grade as I entered Mclean High School and Mrs. Grefe's photography class. I was in love. I loved the ability to hide behind a camera and still be part of "the action"-we had just moved back from Quito,Ecuador where we had lived for three years and I was feeling a little out of place. Photography was an answer to my prayers. I immersed myself in it getting involved with local galleries and contests-constantly being pushed by Mrs. Grefe. My photo cheerleader! I entered and won prestigious local and national competitions and was featured in a show at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in DC. I continued on to study and major in Photography in college. I decided to teach art and photography at the secondary level and when my children were born,my business took off. It has been a beautiful ride. Having a supportive family is key-I get to travel to photograph families and weddings-monumental moments in people's lives. I am honored to be a part of each. I have the best job in the world. |
