| Introduction | I am a biological anthropology doctoral candidate at the University of Iowa with a focus on paleoanthropology. My current research focuses primarily on craniofacial evolution within the genus Homo during the Middle and Late Pleistocene throughout the Old World. Specifically, my dissertation research focuses on assessing the evolutionary significance of the chin in Homo sapiens as well as the variation in mandibular symphyseal morphology across genus Homo. I have done paleoanthropological, archaeological, and paleontological fieldwork, as well as studied several domestic and international skeletal and cast collections. I've also taught a number of college classes in both anthropology and human biology. |
