Introduction Lived in the slums, worked as an educator, re-shaped self as a yuppy, and now reborn as a social scientist. I'm a PhD Candidate at the National University of Singapore, a student of sociology writing my dissertation on faith and social support networks among neo-Protestant, Filipino migrant workers and professionals. I'm interested in the relationship between labor migration and the social field of religion. My favorite social theorist is Niklas Luhman, and my area of specialization is the sociology of religion. I also have some training in literary and cultural criticism. I'm a political centrist, a liberal Christian, and an economic conservative. This might change; nothing is permanent.
