| Introduction | My name is Lindsay and I’ve been a marine mammal trainer since early 2007. I primarily work with our two adorable male harbor seals, Reggae and Chacoda and a big, handsome Northern fur seal named Baranov. I have a BS in Biology with emphasis in Zoology and studied freshwater fish throughout college. I always knew I wanted to work with aquatic animals and just assumed I’d just move to bigger fish, like sharks. I moved here from Arkansas in 2006 to volunteer and was incredibly lucky to score a spot in the Marine Mammal Department. It was love at first sight! Fish, pish!! Pinnipeds are my new love! I volunteered for almost a year before I was hired on as a trainer. This job is hard work, but it is definitely as fun as it looks! |
