IntroductionI have rediscovered knitting after a long hiatus. Career, marriage, kids. My husband used to tell me to slow down, but I would say "Oh poo, I can sleep when I am dead." Oct 1, 2009 changed that line quickly. I developed sudden chest pain; I just knew it was a heart attack. Family Hx of "young" heart attacks, but my ECG was normal. Paralysis from mid-chest down! I regained my ability to walk, and then promptly "retired." I had to learn to put the brakes on my Type A personality. My German sister-in-law taught me to knit when I was around 5 or 6, but it has been years since I picked up yarn and needles. I realize why studies have shown "knitters," live longer, suffers less depression, and are generally healthier, happier people. Now I just have to get the "rust" off my knitting abilities, and learn to live with some little imperfections. Type A's die hard!! My GSon is 6 and he thinks anything Nana does is great, but my 15 yo GDa? maybe I can find "Hollister" tags. LOL! These kids will be responsible for OUR future!!!! God Help Us ALL!! LOL
