Introduction I am a very dedicated songwriter/producer/bandleader/composer. I have a very expansive and big vision for what I want to achieve in my music. I want to incorporate all my influences not only in my recorded output but also in a live setting. I really want to build a network of people who I value and can trust in order to bring my vision to life. I believe in the idea of a community helping each other to bring a goal to fruition. I want to grow alongside these people over my career as a musician. Much in the same way Chris Guest works with the same crew and cast on most of his films.
Interests Creating and playing music. I have a deep admiration for anyone who expresses themselves with conviction and without pretense whether it be as a FIlmmaker, Musician, Painter, Skater etc. As a result the things that influence me and get me going in the morning range from the Photography of Glen Friedman to Bergman's films and to the music of Arvo Part. I really value conversations with people who have a desire to express their point of view and also anyone who can make me laugh. Unfortunately I haven't had to many of those in my short life but hopefully the future will create these memories. I really value going out and having a really good dance. Whether it be to soul/funk. hip hp, drum and bass, jungle, electro etc. For me it is just as enjoyable as writing my own or listening to music. In fact it is arguably more enjoyable because I am essentially submitting all my energy and leaving my mind behind so I kind lose myself in the beat or atmosphere of a particular night. I don't do drugs, I don't drink and I don't smoke. And I have absolutely no desire to these things. I barely eat meat as well. All of these decisions are not based on any ethical (except the drugs) but rather I really think they are a waste of time and frankly never got any real enjoyment or pleasure out of them. I think if you need a chemical or a substance to enjoy a piece of music, film or enhance what this rich world can already offer you than I feel you are missing out. If you want to expand your mind read a book, get into a style of music you never heard before, travel, meet someone etc. The list goes on. Whilst I am a novice in this area I do enjoy reading. I have grown up (and still do) read a lot of non fiction material. From lengthy articles/essays, Books on Directors/Authors/Poets/Culture etc. But I am enjoying reading a more and more fiction which is a great thing.
