| Introduction | Beninese Filmmaker Thomas Akodjinou and Atlanta Film Director Bob J. Gaye are collaborating on a civil rights documentary. The pair will travel to key cities all over the United States as well as select countries in Africa to interview, document and film the compelling history of slavery and civil rights in America beginning with its African roots. This story begins with the beginning of the Dahomean empire which was comprised of Benin, Togo, Ghana and Nigeria in the 1300’s. |
