| Introduction | El Grande is a science fiction, noir story presented in a 400+-page color, original graphic novel format. Though this is an adventure book, it is not attempting to compete with the superhero books that flood the market. Set in the near future, the world is devastated by pollution and filth. Only one populated city remains. Built atop the Amazon Rainforest, Bramacas is ground zero for corruption and oppression, which leads to a revolution. We follow this journey singularly through the eyes of a man known as The Worm. Once a formidable mountain climber, he presently lacks the fortitude to even climb out of the bottle. His days are spent losing himself in the desolate environment of the stack—a fifty-mile high atmospheric smog extractor. It is believed that the great El Grande is coming to cleanse the world. |
