| Introduction | My name is Steve and I have been taking pictures for a long, long time. I first fell in love with the medium in my early teens and spent many a long hour in the dark room learning to paint with light. I was fortunate enough to exhibit and sell a few photographs to various magazines but never took it any further. My career moved in a different direction. I came back to photography at the dawn of the digital age and after purchasing my first digital camera with a massive pixel count of 0.3 (as I recall!) I confidently declared that it would 'never catch on'. Time proved me very wrong and I'm glad it did. Over the years many people have asked me why I don't do this for a living and I think, to be honest, it would take away the pleasure. I don't know what makes a professional anymore anyway. In the old days you could spot a pro's images a mile away. I'm not so sure anymore.
