Introduction I am privileged share my home with a variety of living beings, including two dogs, two cats and some of my adult children. Animals play such an important role in our lives. I have been a vet for over half my life and been owned by animals for all of it. Next year I will have been a vet for 30 years. For the last 10 of them, I have been teaching vet nurses. I made the transfer from front line vet work to fulfill a long term goal of teaching at tertiary level to prepare people as veterinary nurses. Any good vet should realise the success of their business will depend on their staff.. and the way those staff were being treated upset me; they deserve professional respect, and quality education makes this possible. This blog is a celebration of the good times and an outlet for the not so good.... I can't promise to stick to the topic of animals...I know too many interesting people to be that limited.
