| Introduction | I'm a Mother first and foremost. I have four children. They range in age from 17-33. And there's also two step-children. I don't keep in touch with them much. Too many issues. I have 7 grandchildren - four of which are steps but I'm rather close to the oldest two. And then there's 2 great grands. I see them very often and absolutely love them to pieces. I'm a Christian. That's important for you to know. I'll cut up and get crazy with you but I don't do things that go against my faith or hinder my chances of entering into Heaven one day. That's my main goal in life - going to Heaven when it's all over with. I won't push my beliefs on you, but I won't agree with anything that I truly don't believe in. I won't pretend to be something I'm not to make anyone like me. I'm an honest person and I expect honesty in return. If you can't keep yourself from lying to me then please just don't talk to me. I'd rather be left alone than to be lied to. |
| Interests | I have a great many interests. None of which are very interesting to anyone but me. I read. I read alot. I'm dyslexic so reading has never been very easy for me. But I do it anyway. Takes me forever to get thru a book. But I can remember almost every book I've ever read. Probably because I have to read each paragraph more than once to fully understand what I've just read. Repetition = remembering. I find that if I repeatedly do something I get better at it. I guess that means I'm a whiz at washing dishes and doing laundry. :-) I also love to cook. Wouldn't know it by all the boxes in the pantry that have the word 'Helper' on them. But my family doesn't really seem to care for anything 'different' or 'special' so I stick with the same ol' same ol'. Rather boring. Crafting is another love I have. Don't get to do it much and I'm not very good at any of it. But I do try my hand at scrapbooking and sewing occasionally, when I can find the time and space to do them. |
| Favorite Movies | My favorite movies are those sappy ol' love stories. I love Julie Andrews and James Garner together. Barbara Streisand is another fav. I do enjoy a good shoot 'em up bang bang western too. I'm pretty flexible on what I watch. Just none of that gorey nasty stuff that seems to be so popular these days. None of that for me please. |
| Favorite Music | I love country music. And old gospel. Although I must admit some of this new age inspirational music is certainly good. My youngest daughter has me hooked on it. I find it to be very uplifting and makes me feel good. |
| Favorite Books | Most anything written by Jude Deveraux or Nora Roberts will get my attention. Again with the sappy ol' love story theme. I'm making it a plan to read the Bible this year. At least the New Testament. |
