Location	Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States
Introduction	I come from a long line of farmers. It has always been part of my life in one way or another whether spending my summers on the family dairy farm in rural WI, gardening potatoes in my suburban backyard with my mother growing up, having a plot at a community garden in college while studying horticulture and ecology, subsistence farming in the coastal rainforest of Panama for three years as an Agroforestry Peace Corps Volunteer, or running summer gardening programs for children and youth. And now here, putting into practice my vision for a sustainable world starting with my desert home in Santa Fe, NM. Having grow in such varied environments has taught me a lot and I still have so much to learn. I learned the most in Panama, especially about how to farm and how to survive when you have very little in the way of material possessions or economic advantage. So that is the frame of mind I come from in farming. Less is more. Less technology, less inputs, less worry. More listening and going with nature's flow. This blog is giving me a bit more discipline to keep on learning while I feed my passion for digging in the dirt. Thanks for reading.
