| Introduction | Knitters for Critters was created in November 2007 by members of the Bitch and Stitch knitting group that meets at Marin Fiber Arts in San Rafael, CA. As we are all affected by the recent oil spill under the Bay Bridge, we decided to work to raise money for spill cleanup and animal rescue. We are currently working on a combination of two projects: knit ornaments that we are selling locally with 100% of the money going to four local cleanup groups, Wildcare, IBRRC, The Marine Mammal Center, and Baykeeper; and a raffle to win a basket full of yarn goodies with a ticket cost of a donation to one of those organizations. We are using our own yarn and materials and welcome donations of ornaments (ask for our pattern!) and donations to the organizations.
