| Introduction | The passion that courses through my veins for art, designing and photography gladly came into this life with me. My background involves university as well as private art training…and both included learning from masters in their fields of oil and watercolor painting, technical drawing and photography. The rest has come from my belief of…learning by doing….don’t be afraid to step outside the box. My “doing” has included a broad spectrum, from drawing under the covers with a flashlight as a small child so I wouldn’t be told, “Lights out!”...to working as a photographer and “stills” animation painter, then as the head illustrator for a prime contractor of the federal government. Years later as a pit boss for a prominent Las Vegas casino I would spend precious time sketching design ideas on toilet tissue in the ladies room during brief breaks. At this stage of my practice I have total freedom to produce my own visions and content. And if one of my idols, Georgia O’Keeffe, could paint into her early 90s, so will I. How sweet it will be! |
