Introduction	My name is Sara. One day I woke up in California and decided that it was time to get the PhD that I had always planned on getting. A few months later, my husband, son, 2 cats and I made the cross country journey back to the Midwest, where I am currently a doctoral candidate at my undergrad institution. Life has changed and keeps changing. Everyday, I have to figure out ways to balance my life so that at the end of the day...I'm a mother, a wife, and am one step closer to the PhD.

Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.

I don't wear a scarf because anything is fair game for my baby to yank on...and being strangled doesn't really sound like fun.
