Introduction	A Fine arts graduate from the karnataka Chitrakala parishath, my first job was at a small ad agency in mumbai in 1990.I quickly realised that was not my cup of tea and that my basic interest was to paint. That is what I dabbled in for the next two years honing my skills. 1993 saw marriage and my move to Dubai. My first teaching job with the varkey International school in 1994 was when realisation dawned that teaching is what I enjoy. I moved from there to teach at the Dubai Gem Pvt school - my first foray into teaching art in the IGCSE curriculum.I was with them from 1997 to 2006. In 2007, my move to join the team at the Dubai International Academy introduced me to the IB and the PYP curriculum. I am currently employed as the arts coordinator overseeing my team of 4 as well as teaching art in the elementary school. Having done courses in "teaching and learning n the PYP', Inquiry and assessment", my goal of doing the "arts in the PYP' will finally be accomplished in September 2012.

Favorite music	Old Hindi Music, although my students have initiated me into the new wave music that they listen to.
