| Introduction | is a licensed acupuncturist by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine and a Certified Chinese Herbalist through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her training from the New England School of Acupuncture where she studied both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture as well as Chinese Herbal Medicine. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including community health centers, detoxification clinics and private practice. She has over 10 years experience as a deep tissue massage therapist and is a certified yoga instructor, skills that she brings to her work as an acupuncturist. She also has post-graduate training in various styles of Japanese Acupuncture. Melissa encourages patients to actively participate in the healing process, and often integrates dietary advice into her treatment plans. |
