| Introduction | I am a herder of cats who writes - poems, short stories, too many cheques and not enough chapters for my long suffering novel.. I have two poetry collections published by Salmon "Sandgames" (1st prize for a new collection at Listowel's Writers Week, now sold out) and "A Taste for Hemlock". I have been short listed for the Tribune/Hennessy New Irish writing, La Fureur du Noir, Fish Crime Fiction and my poetry has appeared in many anthologies and journals. But that's all in the past...must move on! Currently preoccupied by the recycling of grey water, vegetables, bees and chickens. I still find the time to be lazy, paint, and play Scrabble on line (all the above I do badly). Him indoors my constant companion for the last 20 years, is the kindest human I have ever met. We have two grown up children who have flown the nest taking with them a strong love of cats and most of the dvds (I miss Blackadder and Black Books) but I guess, my life as a parent has not been in vain. |
