| Introduction | The EUROPEAN TRANSPOSITION INSTITUTE was founded by Dr Alain Souloumiac to promote his invention of Computer-assisted Transposition (CaT) of EU directives. The method called DIRLAB applies labels to sections of EU directives in harmonising national and EU legislation, for the benefit of industry, consumers, governments and citizens. Speed and quality are improved by automatic calculation of compliance, participation of stakeholders ensures experienced representation, data encryption provides security, independent certification guarantees transparency, and best practice is disseminated though the integrated knowledge base. New legislation is followed up by the 'Plan-Do-Check-Act' system for ongoing feedback involving stakeholders, ensuring continuing improvement of implementation. The INSTITUTE works though national agents in the EU. Based in the historical European crossroads and cultural meeting point of Alsace, it is the INSTITUTE's wish to promote progress, prosperity and peace through better regulation and harmonised legislation, for the benefit of individual and corporate citizens in Europe and the world. |
