| Introduction | We, the Members of the Salesian Vice Province of St Joseph, Sri Lanka,envisage it as a Vice Province of Spirit-filled, optimistic and consecrated Salesians and Lay Apostles,rooted in the Word of God, guided by our Blessed Mother and under the protection of St Joseph, at the service of the Church. We, a prophetic Salesian Community in its animating role, along with the other Members of the Salesian Family and lay collaborators, are formed by the spirit of Don Bosco and are committed to his mission. We, in a spirit of dialogue with Christian and non-Christian brethren in a relationship of trust, shared responsibility and accountability, educate and evangelise the young and uphold their dignity, especially the poor and the marginalised; and we strive to establish God's Kingdom in this Island, with the heart of Christ, the Good Shepherd, always seeking fresh and worthy labourers. |
