| Introduction | Born with a rare skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (butterfly skin) Rev. Neyda Albarrán has truly proved that all things are possible. As a woman in a predominantly male field (clergy) she has had to overcome her share of obstacles and opposition. From leading a groundbreaking youth outreaches, to leading more than 12 international humanitarian teams around the globe. This fully bilingual and multicultural woman has defied financial. physical and geographic limitations to provide hope and help to many. Rev. Neyda Albarran is an ordained minister of the Wesleyan Church but has taken the words of John Wesley to heart: "The World is my parish." Motivating, challenging and training others to answer the call to learn more, do more and be more, Pastor Neyda serves wherever there is need. Her genetic predisposition for weakness only served to make her stronger. As a woman in a traditionally male position, she has gracefully served as an inspiration to many young women by breaking stereotypes. Her local work to promote global change has touched many around the world. Neyda has two sons: "Gady" (22) and Ian (8) |
