| Introduction | "I know Krasen Berbenkov for many years… a really long time now… During those years of searches, he changed himself in many directions; however, there is one immensely precious thing, which he managed to preserve and even develop within himself – his attitude towards pure painting. Natural born talent for feeling colors, Krasen was reaching deep emotional states through the strong colorful imagery of his works. The delicate and at the same time complex proportions, combined with the unleashing of pure, pulsating and vivid accents, transform his works into memorable images of both the objective and the personal inner spaces. His lively drawings from nature, as well as his oil paintings, bear the marks of a refined sensibility that is far beyond the clichés of time. Professionalism, deep awareness and freshness of the artist’s excitement, kept through all the years, are a promise for eternity… Krasen found his own artistic direction and gave us unobtrusive and strongly influencing vision of his own private world. Painting like his, which is characterized by strong spiritual and sensual intensity, has a league of its own." Prof. Dessislava Mincheva |
