| Introduction | My philosophy of education is based on Biblical teaching. First, we should do unto students as we would have them do unto us. Second, if a man knows to do good and does it not, to him it is sin. These principles have sometimes caused me problems with educators who treat students in ways they would never tolerate for themselves. Moreover, I have often run afoul of educators who think it is better to sweep problems under the rug rather than identify them and seek solutions. Frankly, I really don't care about that. I believe our biggest problem is not people who fail to do the right thing, but those who are aware of those failures and are afraid to speak up. |
