Introduction	I've been a tenured English and sociology professor for the past seventeen years, single mom for fifteen, and novelist for ten. For the sake of sanity, one of those must go. I cannot yet make a living off of my writing, but it's calling to me. Plus, I've grown attached to the kids. Sorry, teaching. You're welcome to join me as I take the leap to full-time writer, hoping the net appears.
Favorite music	Like the 80s, bluegrass, old country (with the slide guitar), blues, and classic rock.
Favorite books	Too many to name, but most anything by Barbara Kingsolver, Isabel Allende, William Kent Krueger, Margaret Atwood, and Sue Grafton, and I've been loving a lot of YA.
