Introduction | Elia Esparza is an award-winning writer and journalist. Esparza is the former Editor in Chief of Latin Heat magazine and a current Contributing Editor to www.LatinHeat.com. She is a producer/writer for Let’s Talk cable and web show. Esparza started her career in entertainment in 1984 working for Emilio Azcarraga, Sr. for the Univision/Univisa Spanish network. Esparza has been published in many of the nation’s leading Hispanic and mainstream publications including: Latina, New York Post, Los Angeles Times, La Prensa San Diego, Hispanic, Hispanic Business, among others. An activist in the Latino entertainment community, she is a co-founder of the Latino Entertainment Media Institute in 1996 and in 1998 was project manager overseeing the property transfer of the Doolittle Theater becoming the Ricardo Montalban Theater. Esparza lives in Los Angeles, CA. |
