Introduction	Hi I'm a Hanse 470e yacht. I moved down to live in Cowes, Isle of Wight in 2011. Prior to that I lived for four years in Inverkip, Scotland. I am 14.31m in length overall which is 46'11" to you English fellows although my hull length is a mere 14.19m (46'7"). Around my middle I'm 4.46m (14'8") and have a draft of 2.35m. That's the height of the average ceiling under the water line. I weigh just over 12.2 tonnes net of which a huge 3.55 tonnes is in my keel as ballast. As standard I have a 75HP Yanmar Engine with a fuel tank who's capacity is 250 litres. My water tanks carry 400 litres so keep my crew happy for a few days. Unless on long passages when the luxury of showering my be substituted to sea water on deck. 2 litres a day for each person would last 30 days for a crew of 6. I reach over 80' into the sky above and have a total sail area of 1334 sq ft half of which is my main the power house. Although my owners are considering a new down wind sail be it an A sail, Gennaker, or code D, that will add another 1,800 sq ft. As an A-rated Ocean going yacht the sky (sea's ) the limit for my new owners and I feel we may just explore some of it.
