| Introduction | A doula is the missing link in contemporary American birthing—that link between the woman as an emotional and physical being and the world of obstetrics. She is a fountain of information, a gentle push towards the things the woman’s body has always known, and the aid in extracting that information and that power within. She can be the hand on the laboring woman’s shoulder and the whisper in her ear. The doula says, “you can do it,” because the mother CAN do it. And most importantly, in those times when nature needs help, the doula there is to say, “you haven’t failed”. |
| Interests | Jaz and Emily can be found in tents somewhere wild and beautiful when they're not helping mamas and babies. Or like most bloggers, at some cafe close-by. |
