Introduction How did I go from being a flight attendant to a goat lady! When I decided to stop flying I started thinking about what I could do "on the ground" that I would enjoy as much as I did flying. I sent an e-mail to a friend who owns a goat farm asking if they might need any help. I mean, goats are funny, they entertain you, they love you and no two days are going to be alike. My friends not only milk the goats and sell it, but they also make many kinds of cheeses and yogurts. And guess what, they had the perfect job for me. I work with the goats, feeding, milking, being there during birthing time, bottle feeding babies and more. After milking I go into our production room and work with Pam making cheeses such as Chev, Ricotta, Feta, Cheddar, Gouda, Monterrey Jack and Montasio, pasteurizing milk, bottling raw milk and making plain, strawberry and blueberry yogurt. But again, the very best part is being joyfully greeted by my girls the minute I step out of my truck in the mornings. They are waiting with lots of slobbery goat kisses just for me. Yep, I look forward to seeing them every morning at 6a.m.. It's not flying, but it's the next best thing.
