| Introduction | I am a big film nerd. My tastes run towards science fiction, action, horror, noir, B-movie goodness, stories about old people having adventures or falling in love, spy movies, arthouse movies, documentaries, and anthology films. I am a native New Yorker, and work in the archival field, and have an MLS in Archives. I love studying history, and enjoy writing about the arts. |

Freedman as Herself by Judy Blume, The Best American anthologies (Sports Writing, Mysteries, Short Fiction, etc.), Southland by Nina Revoyr, Cavedweller by Dorothy Ellison, The Caveman's Valentine by George Dawes Green, Kindred by Octavia Butler, Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler, Fat City by Leonard Gardner, The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. I usually like reading short stories, articles in blogs and The New Yorker. I am still an avid reader, but not as much of novels anymore. |
