Introduction	Who is MPM?: Greetings, my name is Maris P. Miller and I am senior at Messiah College located in Grantham, Pennsylvania. I am studying both English and religion and have a concentration in writing. Next school year I will be studying to earn a masters degree in theological studies. I hope to one day teach theology at the college level and work in vocational ministry, while continuing the scholarly work of research and writing. Why thoughts on literary criticism?: Literary criticism is vital to my studies as a student of English and religion. If you read and/or write, or even do the two, then I would argue that it is of utmost importance to you too.
