Introduction	At 67, I'm retired from teaching adults and do private consultancy and training work. I do a lot of reading and writing and have been asked to start a blog to pass on some of the information that I have collected and developed over the years. Never tiring of learning I find myself continuously doing courses of one kind or another, mostly the wonderful ones that one can now get free of charge on the internet. I uswed to run a quiz every Wednesday in my local pub and wrote over 700. It's a lovely way to meet people, have a little fun and also to learn something new each week. I find I learnt just as much as do the folk answering the questions. I recommend quizzes to anyone who just enjoys knowing things.
Interests	Canals, Beer, Wine, Detective stories, Internet, Words and language, Learning, Quizzes
Favorite movies	North by Northwest, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the various Potters plus more or less anything with Bill Nighy
Favorite music	Classical, Jazz, Brass Band, the less brain dead pop
Favorite books	Too many to mention, but for fun crime, especially forensic thrillers
