About me

Introduction	My first experience building dollhouses was with my Grandma. She bought 2 kits from Greenleaf for us to assemble together. My Grandma was born at in the 1910s. She was a "crafty" person. She could sew, make her own patterns, crochet, and knit. I learned a lot of skills from her. When I finished school for my most recent teaching certification, I told my hubby I wanted to build dollhouses. I don't think he realized that it would lead me to raiding his tool chest or as many trips to Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, or as many deliveries from Amazon. I do enjoy the hobby very much and am making plans to give my Home Ec/FACS students classroom exposure to the hobby as well. It is through enjoying this hobby that makes me feel close to the grandma who has long since passed on.
