| Introduction | It's almost 9 years since I took up riding a bike. My first expedition was the 2005 Great Victorian Bike Ride from Swan Hill to Heidleberg where I found out about camping, camp food, heat, flies, rain, distance, head winds, friendship, support and death. Since then I have ridden every GVBR since, plus some Around the Bay rides, a ride from north east Tasmania to the south east, and three European touring rides. I'm pretty much hooked. It's a great way to meet people, form lifelong and enduring friendships and see the world at a decent pace. |
