Introduction	Most of my free time is spent enjoying wild places we still have left. I find people spend most of their time planning big trips but I'm content to spend as many 3 day weekends as I can getting to know all the great places we have within a 6 hour drive of my home. Cities rise and fall but nature goes on as long as man is good to it. Unfortunately a goal of the human race has been to subdue nature and conquer it. I've decided to conquer what little nature we have left in other ways, through my feet striding over mountain tops, my paddle slicing through the water, and the lens of my camera capturing the wonderful job mother nature did on this planet. Please feel free to live vicariously through the lens of my camera and the strokes of my keyboard. Hopefully, even if seeing these places personally doesn't appeal to you, you will appreciate the mere existince of such solitude, and contribute to continued preservation of the rapidly shrinking open space we have left, in the lower 48 states, and throughout the world.
