| Introduction | This is my first season covering UConn men's basketball for the Norwich Bulletin after spending this past summer chronicling the WNBA's Connecticut Sun after I covered UConn's women in the second half of last season. I am a self-described college hoops junkie with a soft spot for the mid-major game, partly because I attended Binghamton University, which also produced a better-known sports writer in Tony Kornheiser. Sports have always been a part of life, and considering my job, not much has changed. Although basketball takes up a majority of my professional time, soccer and hockey are the two sports I enjoy the most. Soccer was the sport I grew up playing and I'm already looking forward to the 2010 World Cup. As for time outside of sports, I believe traveling is the greatest form of education, and I would encourage everyone to get out and experience something new as much as you can. |
