Introduction	is a freelance journalist, copy editor, proofreader and photographer working out of St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He has written features and press releases for national and international magazines on literature, history, politics, economics and conservation and copy edits and proofreads across a broad spectrum that includes theses, novels, reports, magazine feature articles, sub-editing and commercial advertising. He is a former vice chairman and treasurer of the Southern African Freelancers' Association and currently serves on its oversight committee. He also is a member of the Professional Editors' Group, an Associate with the Society of Editors and Proofreaders and a member of the Professional Journalists' Association.
Favorite books	Nearly all of Henry James, Joseph Conrad, George Eliot, Jane Austen and some of Dickens. All of Shakespeare and most of the Metaphysical poets. In the modern era TS Eliot, DH Lawrence, FR Leavis and post-modern author Colm Toibin also interest me.
