About me

IntroductionIn May 2009, my husband and I welcomed our first child into the world. At that point we had been together for 10 years - I was 36 and he was 38. We were so excited when our daughter was born but knew that our lives were about to change! Gone were the days of unplanned dinners and movies out, sleeping in on the weekends and going to the gym multiple times per week. Here to stay were the early morning wake-ups (often middle of the night wake-ups), having to make plans to go out weeks in advance to ensure a babysitter is available, and struggling to find the time to stay fit and healthy. I have so much to celebrate being a new parent. My daughter amazes me every day with the new things that she does and the unconditional love that she offers me. I am proud every day to be her mommy. However, there are also those days when things get frustrating being a stay-at-home-mom. I decided to start this blog to share my day-to-day frustrations and celebrations with other new moms in hopes that moms will feel welcome to share their experiences and suggestions so that we can support each other through this lifelong journey.
