| Introduction | Dr. Katie MacDowell holds multiple graduate degrees in clinical, counseling, and health psychology. She additionally holds graduate degrees in religion, with a focus on Christianity and Women's Spirituality. She is an ordained Christian minister, as well as ordained in women's spirituality. In addition to her graduate education she has done continuing education at the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality and Healing and is certified in human research by UCLA. She holds a Bachelor's in English literature and has been studying writing with Compel, an affiliate of Proverbs 31. She is the author of five books of poetry (Love Amongst the Fishes, Into Quiet, Turning the Silver Wheel, Vestiges & Bones, and Witness) and nine albums (Legend of Seahorse Lady, Selkie, Son of Arianrhod, Chasing Zebras, She Waits: A Retrospective, Hitchhiker, My Name Is... and Baby Blue).
