About me

Introduction I am a history and religion professor who has also been teaching academic success classes for over a decade. I am a veteran, a woodworker, minimalist, feminist, and a spiritual seeker. Since finishing my Ph.D. 2015, I have devoted my life to personal growth through mindfulness, meditation, travel, and stepping out of my comfort zone. I help my students succeed by sharing both, the "mistakes" I have made along the way, and the insights I have gained through them and through learning to live life in the present moment. I am writing this blog to document my journey of personal growth and discovery.
