| Introduction | I am a person who has been made to think about things. New perspectives often occur to me when I do. I've started this blog because someone, after hearing me speak, said I should write. For now, this blog will be the repository of any ideas about the Torah -- or anything else -- that I'd like to keep a record of. When I speak, it's very informal, and not from notes, so this is my way of jotting down what I come up with. I am a Bal Tshuva, having returned to observant Judaism to say Kaddish for my father, a"h. When the year (eleven months, less a day, actually) was up, I stayed. My main sources for background are the series "The Midrash Says," and a book by Rabbi M. Miller called "Sabbath Shiurim," as well as Parsha Parables by R. Mordechai Kamenetsky, and the many talks I've attended, and various Chumashes, like the Stone Chumash. None of these resources should be blamed for my opinions, however. I know my views can be rather radical, and I'm quite comfortable with that. I call 'em as I "siyum." |
| Interests | Many things. My main ambition is to be a successful singer/songwriter in mainstream popular music. And/or a filmmaker, actor, bon vivant ... |
