Introduction	Upon turning fifty I went at writing as I go at everything ... with a stick and a sack. I figured that if I could club it senseless then stuff it in the bag I would be successful. After much indelicate clubing I discovered that writing is not a medium for thick brained men with clubs, that's called hunting, and if I wanted to be a writer I needed to learn how to pluck microscopic particles from out of thin air with chop-sticks and place them in the appropriate arraingment. Today I work mostly writing screenplays; a profession where I make no money and have little control. Recycle, the Dump Dog is my first novel. It is a project of passion driven by my belief that we humans can do far better by our fellow planetary species, especially when it comes to those we call our "pets."
