| Introduction | Promoting, touring, backing up bands and M.C.s, he immersed himself in the music. He then took a brief hiatus from DJing, but not from being creative altogether. While pursuing the realms of visual art, music had again tapped on his shoulder. Beat-making took over his life, and it wasn’t long before he was collaborating with other artists locally and from cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, and abroad. He has been steady releasing tracks ever since. He loves nothing more than to create sounds that provoke M.C.s into provoking the audience… Always remaining conscious. That’s what Mindcontrol is all about. DJ Mindcontrol represents Team Shells and Kozmoknots (with rapper Inseyet), and is part-time host of Slim Swayze’s Take the Red Pill internet radio show on SlimSwayze.com |
| Interests | DJ MIndcontrol began his life in Costa Rica, moving to the Twin Cities at a young age. He currently resides in Minneapolis. He started DJing at the age of 15, Drum n’ Bass being his first infatuation. Soon he was discovering the likes of artists such as DJ Hype (U.K.) who brought that jump-up sound, fusing hip-hop samples and turntablism with the menacing drums of the genre. Hip- Hop was the other half of the equation. His adventures DJing brought him many places within the scene locally and throughout the Midwest. (CON..) |
