Introduction	I am a self-taught artist living in Portland Oregon with my wife and 3 sons. I have been drawing and painting most of my life but I am always learning new things about the medium. I draw inspiration for my paintings from my fly fishing and backpacking trips in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As an architect I also love to paint and sketch street scenes from around Portland. My paintings try to capture the dramatic light and shadow that is common with the stormy skies in the region. Some of my influences include watercolor artist Joseph Zbukvic,Frank Eber, David Lobenberg and John Lovett and many of the other watercolor bloggers I follow.
