IntroductionI have been a Peace Corps Volunteer (Brazil), art educator, art restorer, memoir-writing instructor, newspaper correspondent, art critic, temp worker, customer service representative, political activist, and artist. I taught art and writing in public schools and community colleges for many years. I live with my husband and over the years have had numerous cats, but we are without any now. I have considered myself an artist from the time someone praised me for my pre-school crayon drawings. From drawing, I moved to painting, printmaking, ceramics and tapestry weaving, later back to drawing and painting, and most-recently to digital art. My work ranges from my humorous cow art (which I call 'visual puns') to more traditional florals and landscapes, as well as non-objective works. I will never settle on one subject or style. My desire is to explore them all. (CJ and Carolina are the same person.)
