| Introduction | To my life’s stoic acceptance, I have spent much of my life’s youth in wars fought for civilizations. In Afghanistan, I watched the Russians fighting against us for their international duty, in a conflict against international terror; of course we were fighting against communist aggression and for Allah. I too went to see the front line struggle in Kargil where the Pakistanis fought an imposed limited war with no aim and its maintenance. Many of them are still my cordial friends serving in high rank. I have also seen the Taliban rising from Kandahar, sweeping through the East and stepping over Kabul in freezing winters of 1996. I was also present when the same forces were preparing to flee Kabul immediately after 9/11, as they were sure of their dreadful aftermath. |
| Interests | Ph D Award First South Asian to have been honoured with doctoral award in Criminology. The four years research was on, “ Terrorism and Ethnic Violence in South Asia; “ A research on preventing nuclear terrorism in South Asia, the role of ideology and religion and terrorist target selection, and the limits and possibilities of legal control”. |
