| Introduction | I am the author of 3 books, The Shaolin Butterfly Style- Art of Transformation from Waterside Press + The Seven Jewels of Reiki + The Compassionate Touch of Reiki: Healing Concepts, Elements, Methods from Lotus Press. I am a lifelong student and teacher of a variety of Asian martial and healing arts, as well as lover of literature of all kinds, writing, as well as arts and media in general. The first thing I wrote was an essay, pre kindergarten, I was immersed in reading for years, head library assistant in junior high, and at PhD. level in a number of skills related to reading comprehension, vocabulary and the like in 6th grade. Being such a voracious reader with wide interests after reading about problems NASA was having trying to help astronaughts deal with the problems of zero gravity when they were planning on building Sky Lab I wrote them with my ideas on how to overcome these issues (I was about 9) which included hand drawn plans- I received a letter of thanks back from none other than President Richard Nixon thanking me and encouraging me. | Favorite music | I love many styles of music from many cultures, ancient to modern, Zen flute to Rush, B.B. King to The King- Elvis, Native American drumming and chanting to Kirtan. |
| Favorite books | Again, so many being a book a day club member in school, I began reading my Mom's college books before kindergarten, became the head library assistant in junior high as that allowed me to order books I was interested in. Growing up everything from the classics to sci fi and fantasy was on my list, with The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien in general a huge inspiration, as well as poetry and Asian philosophy. |
