| Introduction | "LIFE OUTDOORS" is a column I write for the Beacon-Villager, the Maynard and Stow, MA weekly newspaper. Most of the entries are from the column; the nutrition and health entries are from other venues. Click on photos to enlarge. "Outdoors" themes are outdoor recreational activity, local history, and observations on nature. Started late 2009. This blog is dedicated to my family: Jean, my wife of 34 years, Rachel, our daughter, who is leading a richly complex life in Los Angeles, and to the memory of Daniel Mark, our son, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 25 years. Daniel worked outdoors and enjoyed many outdoor activities. |
