| Introduction | When I began riding lessons at a small barn at age 6, I knew instantly that I was addicted, but I had no idea how involved I would become. I began eventing, turning away from hunters and equitation in 2004 and never looked back. I began competing at the preliminary level in 2005 on my first horse, Legacy. Shortly after, I began training Zoomer, an oddball paint with a genetic sway back and other interesting conformation features. He quickly proved to be a fantastic athlete, completing 2 preliminary level events at age 5. Hopefully he will move up to intermediate in the future. I purchased Zara in 2009, and she was a fantastic event prospect. She completed a few novice level competitions and will be seen in eventing or show jumping competitions this Spring. Despite recent and past complications, I still plan to strive for the highest levels of eventing competition, and dream to eventually represent the United States at a Summer Olympic Games in eventing. |
