| Introduction | My debut, THE DAMAGE DONE (Forge, 2010), won the Anthony Award for Best First Novel. It also won a Crimespree Award and was a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada and a Macavity Award. The sequel, THE NEXT ONE TO FALL, a mystery set in Peru, will come out on February 14, 2012. According to Publishers Weekly, "The rich history and geography of Peru add depth to an engrossing mystery that constantly keeps the reader guessing.” Library Journal says, "Davidson’s follow up to her Anthony Award-winning debut will leave you breathless." My short fiction has appeared in plenty of dark places, such as Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Thuglit, Beat to a Pulp, Spinetingler, CrimeSpree, Needle: A Magazine of Noir, and CrimeFactory. My stories can also be found in anthologies including CRIME FACTORY: THE FIRST SHIFT (2011); D*CKED (2011); BEAT TO A PULP: ROUND ONE (2010); BLOOD, GUTS, & WHISKEY (2010); and A PRISONER OF MEMORY AND 24 OF THE YEAR'S FINEST CRIME AND MYSTERY STORIES (2008). My "Insatiable" won the 2010 Spinetingler Award for Best Short Story. |
