| Introduction | Elmer Cheatham was born, and has lived most of his life, in Knoxville, TN. Growing up on a small farm, the many skills he learned as part of everyday living are now considered “survival skills” by many people who were not raised in similar environments. Elmer attended Halls High School from 1968 through 1972. He received his A.S degree in Criminal Justice Technology from Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN. He began working in the security guard industry in 1974 as an Armed Security Officer. Since then he has worked as a Private Investigator, Armed Security Officer, Tennessee State Certified Training Officer, Law Enforcement Training Officer and Defensive Tactics Trainer. Known throughout the industry, Mr. Cheatham is often sought as a consultant for commercial security as well as defensive tactics for law enforcement, security agencies and civilians alike. Elmer is a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment and believes that everyone has the right and responsibility to defend themselves and their loved ones by whatever means necessary and appropriate. |
